Mazars Expands in Australia: A story of continuous global growth

Mazars is pleased to announce its expansion into Australia with the merger of three well-respected professional services providers based in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. This integration further strengthens Mazars capabilities in the Asia Pacific Region, where the firm now deploys over 6,000 professionals across 52 offices and 15 countries and territories, most recently through expansion in China.

Mazars pursues its growth in Australia with Hanrick Curran in Brisbane and Cummings Flavel McCormack in Melbourne joining with the Mazars Australia offices to build an integrated national practice, where each office complements one another to collectively provide further opportunity for growth and a greater range of services in the Australian market.

The three offices provide a breadth of professional services, including Audit and Assurance, Business Services, Business Advisory, HR Consulting, Superannuation, Tax, Consulting and Infrastructure Finance Modelling to diverse industry sectors. We offer a unique combination of experience and knowledge that enables Mazars to provide deep expertise and insights to our clients in Australia, and also help them grow internationally. “Joining Mazars group means joining an exceptional global integrated partnership with expertise and colleagues in nearly 90 countries and territories,” Mazars’ Brisbane Managing Partner, John Kotzur explains. “For our clients in Australia, it brings scale, people and insights to help them do and grow business internationally, understand investment opportunities and capture value from a vibrant global market. There are great opportunities especially in areas such as mining services, agribusiness, infrastructure projects, including energy and water, and real estate, though all our clients will benefit from our broader expertise.”

Melbourne Managing Partner Neil Flavel, from Cummings Flavel McCormack, comments, “We have been on a long and fruitful journey to get to this point, ensuring we provide the best service to our clients consistently. This is the next stage of that journey and whilst our visual identity will change, the focus on our clients will not. Mazars is a strong global partnership that has shown continuous growth and offers not only our clients, but also our employees, exceptional opportunities, both nationally and internationally. We will work closely with our partners to concentrate on consistent international collaboration, high quality services and focus on growing with our clients through new service offerings and opportunities.”

Jim Mascitelli, Managing Partner of Mazars in Sydney confirms that, “Being part of Mazars’ integrated partnership ensures that our offices have consistent standards of service and operating models. Our clients will continue to receive consistent quality of delivery and continuous personal attention.

Finally, the Mazars group will provide our most valuable resource, our people, opportunities for mobility and to grow them as global leaders, cross fertilize experience and culture, and share best practices and innovations from 310 offices around the world.
