I’m no sideliner, I like to stay involved with my clients throughout the course of every project.
With not only an open door policy, but an open phone policy, I believe in maintaining clear lines of communication, and encourage my clients to pick up the phone if they have any questions. Staying in contact with them throughout each engagement and beyond, my approach is straightforward: I believe that if you’re not upfront and honest, you cannot expect to build trust and rapport.
My clients range from listed public companies, to Australian subsidiaries of overseas global corporations, through to local family businesses. Having extensive experience in external audits and reviews, I use the audit process to develop a deep understanding of my clients’ businesses.
Frequently called upon to apply this knowledge to their transactions, including due diligence and other acquisition-related advice, I am also regularly asked to analyse the effectiveness of an organisation’s internal controls to minimise risk and optimise performance.
I take pride in adding value through the audit process, and enjoy regular meetings with stakeholders as a key foundation for the two way communication of concerns and ideas. For me, building these relationships has always been a critical component of the audit process.
Finding the best solutions to help my clients’ progress is what I get the biggest kick out of - having the opportunity to see their businesses develop and thrive - it's what I'm all about.
When I’m not in the office, I like to spend time with my wife and kids and occasionally slip away four wheel driving and camping for a while.
